ZBJX-110 transformer neutral point overvoltage protection deviceis specifically designed for power transformer neutral circuits. It protects the transformer neutral insulation from overvoltage damage and enables switching between grounded operation and non-grounded operation modes of the transformer neutral point. In effectively grounded 110kV and 220kV power systems, transformer neutrals are predominantly operated in non-grounded mode. Due to the use of graded insulationstructures with relatively lower insulation levels in such transformers, the non-grounded neutral requires comprehensive protection against lightning overvoltage, switching overvoltage, and power frequency transierit overvoltage. Current neutral point overvoltage protection employs three primarmethods: 1. Gap Protection: Limits power frequency overvoltage, switching overvoltage, and resonant overvoltage, while partially suppressing lightning overvoltage. 2. Metal-Oxide Surge Arrester (MOA) Protection: Primarily suppresses lightning overvoltage. 3. Parallel Gap and Arrester Protection:Combines both technologiesfor simultaneous protection against lightning, powerfrequency, and switchingovervoltages. In this configuration, the gap protects the transformer neutral insulation and safeguards the arrester from explosion caused by insufficient discharge capacity. Standards:IEC,GB
