NB310L(3PN) Residual Current Operated Circuit Breaker with over-current protection (Magnetic)

The CHINT NB310L (3PN) RCBO combines residual current protection and magnetic over-current protection in a single compact unit, ensuring personnel and equipment safety against earth leakage, overloads, and short circuits. Designed for both residential and industrial applications, it provides high breaking capacity (6–10 kA) and supports both A and AC tripping classes for comprehensive circuit protection. The NB310L series offers multiple tripping curves (B, C, BK, CK) and 2P or 3P+N configurations, making it highly adaptable for various low-voltage distribution environments.

FAQs

What is the NB310L RCBO designed for?

It provides dual protection — guarding against residual current (earth leakage) and over-current (overload and short-circuit) — ensuring both equipment and personnel safety in low-voltage systems.

What’s the difference between Type A and Type AC versions?

Type A: Detects both AC and pulsating DC residual currents.

Type AC: Detects only sinusoidal AC leakage currents.

How does temperature affect operation?

At higher ambient temperatures, current-carrying capacity decreases. For example, at 70 °C, the current capacity is 80% of the rated value.

Which applications is NB310L best suited for?

It’s ideal for residential, commercial, and light industrial installations, especially where compact protection and high breaking capacity are needed for mixed loads.

Can the NB310L be integrated with accessories?

Yes — it supports auxiliary contacts, shunt trips, and under/overvoltage releases for enhanced automation and monitoring.
