FAQs

What makes the NB2-80ZT a “Smart” MCB?

It integrates remote control, metering, and communication functions through RS485 (Modbus-RTU) or Bluetooth BLE 5.0. This allows real-time monitoring, energy statistics, and remote ON/OFF operations without manual intervention.

Which protections are built in?

It provides overload, short-circuit, and over/undervoltage protection. Voltage thresholds are adjustable, with factory defaults set at OVP 280 V / UVP 165 V and corresponding recovery levels to ensure safety and stability.

Can it replace a conventional MCB in existing panels?

Yes — the NB2-80ZT has a compact 18 mm width per pole and DIN-rail compatibility, making it a drop-in replacement for traditional MCBs while adding smart monitoring and control.

What are its communication and networking options?

It supports RS485 (Modbus-RTU) wired communication and Bluetooth BLE 5.0 wireless networking, with automatic address configuration through CHINT’s SMG gateway, enabling integration into smart distribution systems.

What is the environmental endurance and safety rating?

Designed for −25 °C to +70 °C operation and up to 2000 m altitude, the device carries IP20 protection, Pollution Degree 2, and V-0 flame-retardant housing for reliable industrial and building applications.
