Accurate component data is essential to efficient electrical engineering. From component selection to schematic design, reliable product data helps engineers streamline workflows and improve design accuracy.
Since 2019, CHINT and EPLAN have worked together to advance digital engineering and talent development. Building on their collaboration in product data integration, the two companies are extending their partnership to engineering education through the 2026 EPLAN Cup National University Student Electrical Control Design Competition.
Digital Collaboration: Bringing CHINT Product Data to EPLAN
In 2023, CHINT and EPLAN deepened their collaboration by integrating CHINT product data into the EPLAN Data Portal, providing engineers with standardized product data for digital engineering applications.
Today, more than 30,000 CHINT product data entries are available on the platform, covering a broad portfolio of products, including circuit breakers, automatic transfer switches, final distribution products and industrial control components. The data includes 2D schematic macros and 3D enclosure models.
By enabling engineers to access and reuse standardized product data directly in their design workflows, this collaboration helps simplify component selection, reduce repetitive work and improve design efficiency. It also supports the integration of product data into engineering processes spanning design, manufacturing, procurement and maintenance.

Developing Future Talent Through Engineering Practice
Beyond improving today's engineering workflows, CHINT is committed to helping prepare the next generation of electrical engineering professionals.
As an official partner of the 2026 EPLAN Cup National University Student Electrical Control Design Competition, CHINT supports a learning approach that connects academic knowledge with practical engineering applications.
Organized by the China Mechatronics Technology Application Association and co-organized by EPLAN Software and Suzhou Vocational University, the competition is themed “Easy Design, Brighter Future.”
Through the competition, student participants can access CHINT's official product data available on EPLAN and apply it directly in their electrical control design projects. This hands-on experience helps students develop practical design skills, make more informed component selections and gain exposure to industry-standard engineering workflows.
Connecting Digital Innovation with Talent Development
From standardized product data to hands-on engineering education, CHINT continues to strengthen the connection between digital innovation and talent development.
By working with EPLAN to make reliable product data more accessible and support practical learning opportunities, CHINT is helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world engineering — contributing to a more skilled and digitally capable engineering workforce.
