Get SupportWhat is the primary application of the NRZ28-20 fuse?
It’s specifically designed for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, protecting DC combiner boxes, string circuits, and inverters against short circuits and overloads up to 1000V DC.
Why is the NRZ28-20 classified as a “gPV” fuse?
“gPV” refers to its full-range DC breaking capacity, meaning it can safely interrupt all fault currents—from minor overloads to severe short circuits—making it ideal for PV arrays and DC protection circuits.
Can this fuse operate in high-altitude or outdoor solar installations?
Yes. It maintains stable performance up to 2000m altitude, and can be derated for higher elevations (e.g., 0.9×In at 2500m). The sealed design and high insulation materials make it suitable for both indoor and outdoor PV installations.
How does ambient temperature affect fuse performance?
At ambient temperatures above 40°C, the rated current must be corrected. For instance, at 60°C, the current should be reduced by 22% to ensure proper operation.
How should this fuse be installed?
It can be mounted on a TH35 DIN rail or fixed with screws, depending on cabinet design. Proper ventilation is recommended, and it should be placed in environments free of vibration or condensation.
