Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How do I choose the correct JSZ3 model for my application?

Different JSZ3 models support different timing functions such as power-on delay (A/C), power-off delay (F), star–delta start delay (Y), disconnection delay (K), or cycling delay (R). Select the model that matches the required control behavior in your circuit, then choose the appropriate delay range (A–G) and supply voltage (AC or DC).

How do I adjust the time delay on the JSZ3 relay?

All JSZ3 models use a front-mounted potentiometer for time setting. Rotate the dial to select the desired range, as indicated on the scale plate. For multi-range models, ensure the internal range selector is set correctly before adjusting the potentiometer.

Can the JSZ3 be mounted on a DIN rail or panel?

Yes. The JSZ3 series supports several installation methods, including equipment-type mounting, panel mounting using the provided cutout dimensions, and DIN-rail mounting when paired with compatible pedestals such as FM8858, CZS08S, or CZS08X-E.

What types of loads can the JSZ3 relay control?

The relay features 1Z or 2Z contacts depending on the model, with contact capacity up to AC-15 240V/0.75A or DC-13 220V/0.27A (Ith: 5A). It is suitable for control circuits, small motor starters, delay sequences, star–delta starters, and other auxiliary control applications.

What environmental or interference conditions should I consider?

The JSZ3 is rated for ambient temperatures from –5°C to +40°C and meets IEC/EN 60947-5-1 requirements. It provides strong interference immunity, including ESD protection up to 8 kV, RF resistance at 10 V/m, and surge immunity up to 1 kV, ensuring reliable operation in typical industrial environments.
