NU6-I+II Low-Voltage Surge Protective Device

The CHINT NU6-I+II Low-Voltage Surge Protective Device (SPD) offers combined Type I and Type II protection, ensuring reliable surge and lightning defense for AC 230/400 V power systems. Built to IEC/EN 61643-11 standards, it provides superior transient overvoltage suppression with a discharge capacity up to 50 kA. Designed for durability and ease of maintenance, the NU6-I+II features plug-in modules, aging and overheating protection, visual fault indication, and optional remote alarm signaling—making it ideal for industrial and commercial distribution systems.

What is the purpose of the NU6-I+II SPD?

It provides combined Type I and Type II surge protection, safely discharging lightning-induced surges and transient overvoltages to protect electrical systems and equipment.

 

Where is the NU6-I+II typically used?

It is designed for lightning and surge protection in main distribution panels, control cabinets, and building entry points. 

 

What are the available models and configurations?

The NU6-I+II is available in 1P, 1P+N, 2P, 3P, 3P+N, and 4P versions, with optional remote signaling (F-type).

 

How does the remote alarm function work?

The F-type models include an auxiliary contact for remote fault indication (AC 250 V / 1 A or DC 250 V / 0.1 A), enabling real-time monitoring of SPD status.

 

How is it installed and maintained?

It uses a TH35-7.5 DIN rail mounting system and a plug-in module design, allowing for quick replacement and reduced maintenance downtime.
