Recently, Ecovadis, an international ESG certification organization, announced that CHINT has passed the review and won the silver medal, ranking among the top in the industry. This is another important achievement of CHINT in promoting sustainable development after joining the United Nations Global Compact（UNGC）.
EcoVadis certification aims to improve the performance of companies’ environmental and social practices by leveraging the impact of global supply chains, providing customers and suppliers with a collaborative platform to help companies audit the environmental and social performance of their suppliers around the world. At present, EcoVadis certification solutions have been selected by major multinational companies to audit their suppliers in more than 95 countries and regions around the world.
In the new era of global “climate economy”, CHINT released “digital intelligence and carbon-neutral solutions” to help China achieve its “dual carbon” goal and provide the world with a path to reduce carbon and green energy. After 38 years of development, CHINT’s business has been expanding continuously.
From green energy, smart electrical to smart low-carbon city industry, CHINT has a deep insight into the needs of the industry, continuously improves the quality of its products, and promotes green and low-carbon development with technological innovation. At present, CHINT’s business covers more than 140 countries and regions, with a turnover of over 15.79 billion dollars in 2021.
It has more than 660 large-scale photovoltaic power plants in China, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and other parts of the world, with an installed capacity of 8GW, which can reduce more than 8 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year. CHINT has built 500,000 farmer rooftop photovoltaic power stations, which can contribute 8.3 billion kWh of green electricity to China, saving 8.26 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
In 2021, CHINT successfully passed the review of the United Nations Global Compact Office and officially joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) to promote global sustainable development.
