On 5th March, Chint Power T&D was awarded pre-qualification certificate by Anglo American in its China International Procurement Office (IPO) in Beijing. Chint is the first company to receive this certificate in China.
As one of the world’s largest mining companies, Anglo American implement a rigorous supplier management process. This certification is the admission to be involved into its supply chain. In the identification process Chint was audited in relation to technology, quality management, certificates, etc. Besides, site visits were conducted to verify compliance with the its supplier code in terms of safety, health, labour rights, businessgement.
With the certificate, Chint T&D become a part of the supplier quality prequalification programme of Anglo American to supply transformer, switchgear, Vacuum Circuit Breaker, Protection relay and GIS. This certification can be also served as recognition of the power transmission and distribution industry of Chint worldwide. In the near future, more close and practical cooperation is expected between Chint and Anglo American.
