NC2 AC Contactor, 115~800A

The NC2 series AC contactors are compact, heavy-duty, short-arcing devices designed for high-performance control of a wide range of loads. Suitable for frequent cycling operations, they are ideal for heavy-duty AC motor starting/stopping and remote circuit making/breaking. Available with a wide selection of control coil voltages, NC2 contactors can also be paired with thermal overload relays to form DOL starters for circuit protection.

FAQs

What is the main purpose of the NC2 AC Contactor?

The NC2 contactor is used for remote making and breaking of AC circuits, typically for controlling large motors, heating systems, and power circuits. It can also be combined with a thermal overload relay for motor overload protection.

What is the current and power range it supports?

The NC2 handles 115–800 A and can control motors from 22 kW up to 500 kW, depending on the rated voltage.

Is the NC2 compatible with both AC and DC coils?

Yes, models up to NC2-400Z support DC coils (48 V / 110 V / 220 V), while all models support AC coils from 110–415 V.

How is maintenance simplified for the NC2 contactor?

It features a modular coil-armature unit that can be easily removed or replaced without disassembling the main contactor, reducing downtime and maintenance effort.

What accessories are available for the NC2 series?

Optional accessories include auxiliary contact blocks, time-delay modules, and mechanical interlocks for reversing or interlocked operation, making it adaptable for advanced control systems.
