SG

The SG Three-phase Air-immersed Transformer is designed for AC 50Hz–60Hz circuits up to 1000V, offering reliable power conversion and isolation in control systems, machinery, lighting, and signal applications. With a natural air cooling design, it features low loss, low noise, high efficiency, and strong overload performance. Available in exposed or enclosed (fence-type) models, it supports indoor use with optional meters, fans, and mobility features for larger capacities, ensuring safe, efficient, and durable operation in industrial environments.

It is ideal for machine tool control systems, mechanical equipment power distribution, industrial lighting, and signal circuits requiring stable low-voltage power transformation and electrical isolation.

 

What are the advantages of the air-immersed design?

The natural air cooling system offers efficient heat dissipation without oil, making it fire-resistant, low-maintenance, and environmentally friendly, while reducing noise and energy loss.

 

What types of enclosures are available?

You can choose between exposed-type for controlled environments and fence-type with a protective steel shell for added safety and durability. Higher-capacity models (≥80kVA) include fans, meters, and wheels for easy operation.

 

How customizable is the SG transformer?

CHINT allows customization of input/output voltages, enclosure type, and connection configuration (Y/Δ) based on user requirements. Models above 300A input current require special design adjustments.

 

What environmental conditions can it operate in?

It operates reliably in ambient temperatures of −5°C to +40°C, with humidity up to 95%, at altitudes below 2000m, and in non-corrosive, non-explosive indoor environments.
