The NM8N High-voltage (HV) Series Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) from CHINT is engineered for AC systems up to 1150V, offering advanced protection and reliable operation in extreme conditions from −40°C to +70°C. Featuring zero-arcing interruption and high breaking capacities up to 50kA, it ensures safe performance in solar PV, inverter, and AC combiner box applications. Designed with thermomagnetic or magnetic trip units, the NM8N HV MCCB delivers precision protection, compact structure, and long mechanical life for demanding industrial power systems.

It’s ideal for solar power generation systems, especially for string inverter outputs and AC combiner boxes, where high voltage and zero-arcing protection are critical.

 

How does it ensure safety at high voltages?

With a zero-arcing interruption design and a breaking capacity up to 50kA, the NM8N HV MCCB effectively isolates faults and minimizes arc energy, ensuring safe operation under heavy load conditions.

 

What types of protection does it provide?

The TM type provides overload and short-circuit protection, while the M type offers instantaneous magnetic short-circuit protection, suitable for motor and transformer systems.

 

Can it operate in harsh environments?

Yes. The NM8N HV operates reliably in extreme temperatures (−40°C to +70°C) and under humidity up to 90% at +20°C, with full IP40 protection.
