NU5-II Low-Voltage Surge Protective Device

The CHINT NU5-II Low-Voltage Surge Protective Device (SPD) provides advanced Class II surge protection for AC 230/400 V systems, shielding equipment from transient overvoltage and lightning-induced surges. With discharge capacities up to 160 kA and plug-in modular design, it ensures reliable performance and easy maintenance. Featuring aging and thermal protection, visual fault indicators, and optional remote signaling, the NU5-II SPD is ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial low-voltage distribution networks.

The NU5-II protects low-voltage electrical systems from transient overvoltages and lightning surges, safely diverting excess energy to ground to prevent equipment damage.

It’s available in multiple configurations — 1P, 1P+N, 2P, 3P, 3P+N, and 4P, suitable for both single-phase and three-phase systems.

 

What is its discharge capacity?

The NU5-II supports a maximum discharge current (Imax) of up to 160 kA, ensuring robust surge protection in demanding environments.

Yes, the F-type model includes an auxiliary contact for remote alarm signaling when maintenance or replacement is required.
