CHINT Helps China s Largest Refining & Chemical Integration Project

Recently, CHINT Electric, a company of CHINT Group, has become the main electrical equipment supplier of Zhejiang Petrochemical's 40 million tons refining and chemical integration project with a total investment of 173 billion RMB (25 billion USD). It will provide more than 1000 high and low voltage switchgears for the project, some of which have already been successfully delivered. Because the project is located in the island area, it puts high demands on the anti-corrosion ability of the product. CHINT Electric worked out the product technical solution together with the client and to cope with the high salt spray and high humidity environment. 

The project is located in Zhoushan, an important maritime gateway city in China. It covers an area of 1307.9 hectares, with a total scale of 40 million tons/year of refining, 8 million tons/year of para-xylene and 2.8 million tons/year of ethylene. After completion, Zhejiang Petrochemical will become a world-class Refinery only after India's Reliance Industries Ltd,Venezuela's Palaguana Refining Center, South Korea's SK Company (Ulsan) and the United Arab Emirates'Abu Dhabi Refinery Company..
