Sustainability Prism | The Diverse "Innovation Equation" Behind "2026 The Workplace for ALL"

AUG 5, 2026

On July 29, Bloomberg Green Greater China announced its 2026 "The Workplace for ALL" list, and following a rigorous verification and comprehensive evaluation process, CHINT was recognized for the third consecutive year. The selection process, guided by rigorous international standards, highlights companies that excel in social responsibility, employee development, and fostering a sustainable culture of diversity and inclusion, positioning them as global leaders in talent cultivation and sustainable growth.

Interpreting "The Workplace for ALL" Through the Power of Responsibility

The core theme of the 2026 "The Workplace for ALL" list is "Recalibrating Globalization's New Coordinates Through Climate Risk and Social Responsibility." As climate risks intensify and social responsibility requirements escalate, the focus of international market access is gradually expanding from product compliance to credible governance. The social dimension is no longer just a chapter in an ESG report—it is becoming the trust cornerstone of cross-cultural and cross-lingual cooperation.

The evaluation was based on the concurrently released Corporate Globalization Social Readiness Assessment Framework, developed in response to evolving international regulatory trends. Built on the Bloomberg Industry Classification System (BICS), the framework evaluates companies across six dimensions: community and product responsibility, talent and organizational management, employee care and inclusion, occupational security and workplace health and safety, labor and human rights and supply chain responsibility, and data and privacy management. Through structured assessment and cross-validation of publicly available data, the framework measures a company's ability to transform internal responsibility practices into trust assets in the global marketplace. As a result, the assessment no longer stops at individual benefits or isolated activities; it examines whether a company can translate social responsibility into stable institutional arrangements and embed them into business operations spanning products, employees, communities, and supply chains.

The dimensions assessed by "The Workplace for ALL" list are closely aligned with the actual challenges CHINT faces in its global development. With a presence in over 140 countries and regions, these evaluation criteria have been deeply integrated into the company's day-to-day operations. "A year and a half ago, I proudly joined this instrument and meter family as the very first local employee. Growing from a newcomer to today's production manager, this journey has been full of challenges and even more full of rewards," recalled George Omondi Odhiambo, a local employee at CHINT Meter Kenya, reflecting on his growth path at CHINT. "What I found here is not just a career, but a family that respects the value of every individual."

One employee's growth trajectory gives "localization" a more concrete meaning: absorbing local employment is merely the foundation; what matters more is enabling local talent to gain skills development, participate in management, and access long-term growth opportunities. CHINT continuously embeds respect for employees into concrete mechanisms, making social responsibility a part of the global organization's operations. This also supports the company in building long-term trust and strengthening its resilience in diverse markets.

Safeguarding Employee Growth with Fairness and Care

CHINT upholds fair and transparent evaluation standards for performance reviews, promotions, talent selection, and training. It ensures equal opportunities for all employees while cultivating a workplace free from discrimination. The company became a global signatory of the United Nations Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs), underscoring its commitment to advancing gender equality and workplace diversity, and has incorporated the goal of continuously increasing the proportion of female employees into its 2030 sustainable development targets.

Once employees are on board, fairness continues to be reflected in the accessibility of development opportunities. CHINT consistently enhances its career development pathways across management, professional, and technical tracks. Through internal competition for positions, rotational assignments, mentorship programs, and tiered and categorized training, the company offers employees diverse options and has set a target to cumulatively support 5% of its workforce in completing continuing education by 2030.

At the same time, CHINT continuously listens to employee voices through labor unions, employee representatives, compliance channels, and anonymous feedback mechanisms, creating reasonable avenues for employees to express their opinions and safeguard their rights, and promptly following up on all employee suggestions and needs.

Furthermore, employee care extends beyond the workplace to address real-life needs. On the afternoon of July 28, as the final session concluded, the 2026 CHINT Employees' Children Summer Camp in the Wenzhou area successfully ended, with "little migratory birds" from north and south taking home their own summer memories. Through interest-based courses and daily companionship, the "Little Migratory Birds" summer camp, running for more than two decades, provides employees' children with a safe and fulfilling holiday while easing the care burden on parents.

CHINT has also established the "Pathfinder" Growth Program for outstanding employees' children, extending care to mentorship and internship opportunities for their children. This support for employees' families, combined with leave policies, health check-ups, psychological support, and occupational health monitoring, is gradually forming a working mechanism that consistently responds to employee needs.

Uniting Global Partners Through Diversity and Inclusion

CHINT's global development connects employees across different countries and regions, as well as partners distributed throughout every link of the industrial chain. Mutual understanding among employees and a shared commitment to responsibility with partners are the foundations upon which stable, long-term global collaboration is built.

During the "Hi World, Hi CHINT" cross-cultural integration events held in June 2025, 15 Chinese and international employees from 10 countries experienced traditional cultural practices such as calligraphy and seal carving, becoming the first "CHINT Global Cross-Cultural Ambassadors." This created more opportunities for cross-regional teams to deepen understanding and build consensus.

As a global enterprise operating in numerous countries, CHINT has always centered on "cultural synergy," driving its global partners from "collaborative cooperation" toward "shared value resonance." Whether through the "Homecoming" series of events, folklore interactions between Chinese and international employees, or innovative platforms such as the global cultural digital platform and the "International CHINT" IP, CHINT is consistently dedicated to using diverse practices to allow employees of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds to build understanding through collaboration and experience equality and inclusion in the workplace.

As the scope of collaboration extends from internal teams to the global supply chain, respect for people is also implemented as rules that partners must jointly observe. CHINT has formulated a code of integrity and compliance for business partners, a sustainable procurement policy, and a supply chain employee grievance system, integrating requirements on labor rights, human rights protection, working conditions, and business ethics into supplier management. Simultaneously, formal and anonymous complaint channels are established for supply chain workers, protected by a whistleblower protection mechanism to safeguard stakeholder voices. Through supplier ratings, third-party audits, and training, CHINT promptly identifies social responsibility risks in the supply chain, and establishes corrective action, tracking, and improvement mechanisms for identified issues, gradually forming a closed management loop. Along this path, respect for people moves from inside the enterprise outward into the broader value chain, solidifying the foundation for the sustainable development of CHINT's global business.

This recognition reflects CHINT's continued commitment to advancing responsible governance and strengthening social responsibility practices across its global operations. Looking ahead, CHINT will continue to uphold a heart of "care," engage in acts of "love," further enhance employee rights protection mechanisms, integrate responsibility for people into its sustainable development strategy and daily operations, foster a more equitable, inclusive, and diverse work environment, and make a people-oriented approach the solid bedrock of the company's steady growth.
