In March 2020, the NLC20MW project in Andaman Islands, India, jointly built by CHINT POWER and Larsen&Toubro, was successfully connected to the grid, as a new 1500V dc power station project in India.
Andaman Islands, a group of islands in the north of the ten degrees strait between the bay of Bengal and the Burma Sea, are wooded and rich in sunshine.
Larsen&Toubro is a group company in industrial technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing, financial services and other business sectors in India. It owns a PV company to carry out project investment, operation and EPC business, also one of the most influential companies engaged in PV EPC projects in India.
In the process from design to delivery, CHINT POWER has actively involved and served to ensure successful connection to the grid. The project will greatly alleviate the problems of high local electricity cost and poor power quality. Based on the experience, the development direction in the Indian market has been clarified. Important experience has been accumulated in the strategic layout of developing countries in future global photovoltaic market.
