Introduction
Overview

Located on a Caribbean island, Honduras, this Wi-SUN smart metering project covers over 3,000 households with CHA120 smart meters, CHG540 concentrators, and CHG590 repeaters. Rolled out in phases, the project replaces traditional meters with a modern AMI system, enabling remote meter reading, real-time monitoring, and efficient grid management.

 

Despite the island’s challenging terrain, the system ensures stable, secure, and intelligent power supply — laying the foundation for Roatán’s smart city transformation and offering a replicable model for other Caribbean regions.

Wi-SUN Smart Metering Solution includes smart meter devices, including Wi-SUN CHA120 smart meters, CHG540 concentrators, CHG590 repeaters, the PowerEasy2.0 AMI system, on-site technical support, installation guidance, and comprehensive system operation training—including software and the PowerEasy2.0 platform.
