Foshan, China – July 9 marked the groundbreaking of CHINT Smart Electrical Equipment (South China) Innovation Park in Foshan, Guangdong. With a total investment of 70 million dollars and covering 66,000 square meters, the project will establish an integrated R&D-manufacturing-service platform specializing in next-gen power equipment, new energy, and data center solutions.
Positioned as a "smart manufacturing benchmark," "green ecosystem model," and "digital operation hub," the park signifies CHINT’s strategic move to lead energy transformation while accelerating regional industrial upgrading. Nearly 200 attendees, including Foshan officials and CHINT leaders Chairman Nan Cunhui and President Chen Guoliang, witnessed the ceremony.
Chen emphasized leveraging CHINT’s four-decade expertise across the power industry chain to build a low-carbon tech lab with partners. Key initiatives include advancing integrated "PV + storage + smart grid" systems and developing zero-carbon industrial parks. The hub aims to bolster Foshan’s billion-dollar smart power equipment cluster and drive high-end, intelligent, and green manufacturing in the Greater Bay Area.
As a critical regional deployment, the park will harness the local regional innovation resources to strengthen smart grid ecosystems and advance South China’s green industrial growth.
