CHINT’s Path in the Digital Age

SEP 26, 2021

In April, the thematic briefing “The Stories of CPC – Zhejiang’s Achievements in Practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era” was held in Hangzhou. Nan Cunhui, chairman of CHINT Group, as the sole representative of entrepreneurs, shared his entrepreneurial experience with the world on the briefing.

CHINT has been constantly advancing innovation and transformation, green development and digitalization reform, and taking the lead in the industry.

CHINT's digitalization reform

Since its establishment in 1984, CHINT has been actively developing in smart electrics, green energy, industrial control and automation, smart home and other sectors.

In 2019, CHINT initiated the strategy of “One Cloud & Two Nets”, i.e., CHINT Cloud, CHINT Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), CHINT Energy Internet of Things (EIoT), to promote an advanced integration of manufacturing with big data, IoT and AI, and to explore CHINT’s digitalization path.

In Feizhuang Village in Linping District, Hangzhou, many families have installed CHINT’s household photovoltaic panels on their roofs. These panels can generate electricity with solar energy and convert light directly into clean energy with a remote control system. It not only helps reduce carbon emissions but also provides more benefits to local residents.

Global development of CHINT

Up to now, CHINT has maintained varying degrees of cooperation with more than 80% of the countries and regions which have joined the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The group has invested in power plants in Bulgaria, Korea, Turkey, Egypt, and the Netherlands. In Pakistan, CHINT has built large substations, the successful delivery of which is the epitome of CHINT’s overseas cooperation over the years.

Over the years, CHINT has been committed to the development of overseas cooperation and business internationalization. So what image will CHINT build in the future? Lily Zhang, CHINT Electrics Director and Vice President said that CHINT joined the United Nations Global Compact this May.

It is the world’s largest international organization that promotes corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. In the future, CHINT will assume more and more social responsibilities and actively participate in social welfare activities.

Nowadays, the development of the digital economy has become a new engine for the high-quality development of Zhejiang’s economy. More and more enterprises actively embrace the trend of digitalization and pursue their digital transformation. In the future, there will be more and more intelligent, digitalized, and internationalizing enterprises in Zhejiang.
