FAQs

Under what conditions should the NHRT40 Vertical Fuse-switch Disconnector be used?

It’s suitable for low-voltage distribution systems up to 690V, providing both load switching and circuit isolation. The NHRT40 is ideal for industrial plants, switchboards, and motor control centers that require safe manual operation with integrated fuse protection.

What makes the NHRT40 design reliable in electrical distribution applications?

Its fan-shaped handle mechanism ensures smooth, synchronized movement between the fuse and cover, providing clear visible isolation and safe disconnection. The arc chamber enhances breaking performance even under high fault currents.

How does it ensure operator safety during maintenance?

The NT fuse link serves as an active contact that disconnects power when opened. Additionally, the handle ensures an adequate air gap and insulation distance, making it compliant with IEC 60947-3 isolation requirements.

Can I install the NHRT40 on existing busbar systems?

Yes. The base and underpan are detachable, making it easy to mount directly on busbars. This structure minimizes installation time and ensures secure, vibration-resistant connections.

What fuse types are compatible with this disconnector?

It’s compatible with NT-series (NH) fuse links rated between 20A and 630A, covering most low-voltage power distribution requirements. The fuse links are easily replaceable without disassembling the entire switch unit.
