FAQs

What is the main function of the NXCC Capacitor Contactor?

The NXCC is designed to switch and protect low-voltage capacitors in reactive power compensation systems, ensuring smooth engagement and discharge of capacitor banks.

How does it prevent inrush current?

Each NXCC contactor integrates pre-charge resistors that limit inrush current during capacitor energization, protecting the capacitor bank from damage and extending its lifespan.

What are the available current and voltage ratings?

The NXCC series covers 25 A to 170 A and operates up to 690 V, suitable for various power factor correction cabinet sizes and load requirements.

Can it operate under harsh conditions?

Yes, it performs reliably in temperatures from −35 °C to +70 °C, at altitudes up to 2000 m, and in pollution level 3 industrial environments.

How is it installed?

Smaller models (25–115 A) can be mounted on DIN rails, while higher-capacity versions (150–170 A) use screw mounting for secure, heavy-duty installation.
