BHP Annual Appreciation Dinner 2018 has been held in Shanghai recently. Lily Zhang, VP of CHINT Electric, the strategic partner of BHP, was invited to attend the dinner during which CHINT Electric was honored with the certificate of BHP "Significant Contribution Supplier".
At the dinner Wang Yuekui, China President of BHP spoke highly of the good partnership with CHINT Electric in international business sector thanks to its world-class products and high technology. Previously at the supplier conference in the northern mining region of Chile, CHINT Electric has hold in-depth consultation over the replacement, reconstruction and expansion of mining spare parts with BHP. Both parties signed an agreement on BHP directory of suppliers, establishing a long-term strategic partnership. The cooperation between CHINT Chile business and BHP has been further deepened and consolidated while CHINT Electric international image and brand reputation greatly enhanced.
BHP Billiton is a large Anglo-Australian multinational joint venture specializing in oil and minerals with operations in 20 countries around the world. The Americas division, headquartered in Santiago, Chile is mainly mining of copper, zinc, iron, thermal coal and potassium.
As the world's largest mining company, BHP has a strong demand for advanced technology and equipment in mining spare areas. As early as November 2017, BHP Chile delegation visited CHINT Wenzhou Low-voltage Factory, which fully affirmed CHINT world-leading products and technology. Furthermore, they agreed to explore more cooperation opportunities and possibilities in the future.
