On October 26, 2024, CHINT hosted its much-anticipated CHINT Sports Day 2024 in Dubai, UAE, showcasing its commitment to sustainability and collaboration. The event brought together 100 participants, including CHINT’s authorized distributors, retailers, panel manufacturers, and CHINT team members in the UAE. Through spirited cricket and badminton tournaments, CHINT Sports Day strengthened partnerships while advancing environmental consciousness and promoting a low-carbon lifestyle. By incorporating eco-friendly practices into every aspect of the event, CHINT reaffirmed its role as a practitioner in sustainability and innovation.
On the day of the event, we integrated low-carbon elements into “low-carbon traveling, plastic recycling, lunch box customization, and trophy transformation.”
- Encouraging Low-Carbon Travel: We encouraged athletes to travel in a low-carbon way, and all participants used 3 post-consumer plastic bottles as their entry tickets;
- Plastic Waste Recycling: All plastic waste generated during the event was recycled, and a total of 5KGS of plastic waste was sent to the recycling center;
- Raising Awareness of the 17 UN SDGs: At the venue to raise participants’ understanding of sustainable development and help them to achieve the 17 SDGs by 2030;
- Customized sustainable catering solutions: On the day of the event, we used customized bamboo recyclable lunch box packaging as the outer packaging of the food and beverage, practicing sustainable consumption;
- Innovative Trophies: We transformed the MCBs, which had been in stock for more than 2 years, into the base of the trophies of this event, which is of both commemorative and sustainable significance.
CHINT actively embraces boundless multiculturalism through global actions. In 2024, CHINT carried out Ramadan activities in six overseas countries, donating CHINT off-grid photovoltaic systems, necessities, Ramadan meal boxes, etc., to help regional development in the form of local public welfare; In 2024, CHINT took part in the Women Conference during the famous International Electrical Expo in Mexico City, where CHINT female employee participated in the panel of “The art of negotiation: Strategies for success in each situation” where 6 women discussed and shared knowledge about this topic, empowering women with practical actions; In 2024, CHINT cooperated with Rotary to carry out activities such as “Book Donations, Creative Arts and Career Mentorship” in Ghana to promote local education.
