APR 1, 2024

For over 20 years, Kg. Orang Asli Woh Intake, Tapah, had remained in darkness, devoid of electricity. In 2019, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Institut Latihan Perindustrian (ILP) Kepala Batas, Penang and Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad decided to illuminates the village and upgrades their life by contributed 4kWp solar PV systems to generate electricity, which has brought up lights and hopes to the villagers.

The expansion of families and housing within the Orang Asli village over the past five years underscores the growing need for additional electricity and lighting to support the community’s wellbeing and quality of life. As the population increases, so do the demands on the existing solar PV system, necessitating upgrades and maintenance to meet the evolving needs of the villagers. In response to this pressing challenge, the implementation of the “Projek Penyelenggaraan & Naik Taraf Sistem Solar PV di Kg.
